I will also be making updates to my sub-site with programming related stuff. Ignore the site design for now, it will be improved incrementally.

Stop sign I didn't get to watch these live, but they were just as forgettable as Microsoft's. Nintendo's WiiFit was pretty cool, but nothing mindblowing. Mario Kart looks like the Gamecube version, the crippled online component will be below average. Sony's array of games looked nice, but there was nothing surprising about the conference. Metal Gear had yet another trailer. The temporary price drop. Just more of the same. The Killzone graphics were nice though.

What went wrong? Great games, check. Halo 3 footage, check. Gears of War PC, check. Jade Raymond, check. Boring, check.

Yes, I'll say it, Peter Moore is not a great presenter. Or is it Microsoft as a whole? It would have been more exciting if Steve Jobs demoed Madden 97 to be released next year exclusive to the 8 core MacPro. If I can remember, last year's Xbox conference wasn't that exciting either. But I can say the same thing for all the Windows demonstrations too. One of the lows was the Grand Theft Auto trailer. 'You've seen it already, but not on a screen this big!'

As usual, IGN's feed was giving a lot of problems. I had to move over to gamespot which was smooth as butter. Pretty much the same as last year.

For anyone still waiting for next gen, watch the Microsoft press conference tonight. Not even the price cut will help the PS3. We want to see what has become of Too Human, Halo 3 Campaign, and some other secret coop games. MASSIVE DAMAGE!

An Apple fanboy talked me into going into an iStore or whatever they want to call it. I have to say that the overall design of the store was very nice. Another thing I liked was that we were left to play with the products without being hassled by salesmen, but this might have to do with the newly released iPhone.

After using Vista, the OSX interface doesn't seem as cool as when I first saw it. After looking around at all the Mac, wadda you know. Where the hell is the cursor on this one? For some reason it was not responding to any input. A frozen Mac? Maybe a customer installed spyware?

There was Photoshop on another Mac, it was CS2 which must have been the PowerPC version cause it took forever to load. This was on a $2000 iMac. Isn't there an Intel version they could have used? CS3? Hmm....

Now for the big bang. The 'King' of phones. Maybe I shouldn't use 'King' after the disappointment of Labron 'King' James. I can't forgive the lack of music ringtones and video recording capabilities. The interface is nice to look at, but the web browser takes a lot of work, zooming in, then out, then scrolling, then zooming, waiting for the rendering. I've never browsed on a phone so this could be a million times better than what is currently out there, but not worth my $600.

Next, on to the game section, Halo 1, World of Warcraft, Tiger Woods 2005. Did I step in a time machine? Certainly feels out of place compared to the futuristic look. I know if I checked the balance on my credit cards it would be the same walking out as it was walking in. Maybe next time Apple. I hope my high expectations wasn't a negative side effect of the Mac vs PC ads.

Microsoft XNA Sprite A tiny little sprite on my 360.
