Borat I've watched this guy since his first HBO season, and I've always thought Borat was the funniest part of the show. His UK series was equally funny, but after this movie he might be too well known to continue this career.

Can't wait for its release. Go catch up on some of his videos if you haven't already.

Borat Movie.

In this episode we dwell deeper into the lives of the Others. Like the Losties, they too have power problems and they are not the perfect planned organization I once thought. We got flashbacks on the life of Sawyer, we saw his conning skills being used to get himself out of prison.
On the island, Sawyer is still ignorant to the fact that the Others are able to watch and listen to his every move. All his plans to escape so far have been carefully parried. We also learned that there is at least one more island close by but we shouldn't be so quick to believe that the Losties are actually on that one. Is Kate leaning towards Jack, or is she playing hard to get with Sawyer?

More correct future predictions by Desmond and Jack wasn't able to save the life of Colleen. But who is the person in the x-ray with the cancer on their spine?

An event in the next two episodes is suppose to really shock us. I wonder if it happens in a flashback or on the island. Only time will tell, I will definitely be there next week, count me in your ratings ABC.

  1. People will stop/park anywhere.
  2. People REALLY like cell phones.
  3. It is hot.
  4. Pretty much every road has potholes or uneven pothole patches.
  5. Newspeople look like regular people.
  6. Animals roam in the streets.
  7. TV stations start their programs late.
  8. There's a man for every job.
  9. There's a big mountain that follows you everywhere.
  10. Where there used to be a McDonalds, there is now a Juicy Beef Patties.
  11. Called to order a pizza at 11:30am and the delivery guy is not in yet.
Edit: Had to squeeze in #11.

I haven't played any strategy games in a long time, but this demo has impressed me. From a technical side, the graphics are good even when zoomed in, and there seems to be some physics and AI going on. Bodies fly when tanks shoot them and soldiers actually fire from cover unlike the usual 'get close enough and attack' that the AI in previous games displayed. It just has a different feeling than other games which is good.

I will probably end up picking up this game soon.

NBA 2K7 Having trouble doing the rivalry achievements?

Play with 1 minute quarters.

A Locke episode. From past episodes it seemed that he was an office worker, but now we know that he was doing some illegal stuff (drugs). Maybe that's how he got paralyzed? I was almost sure they were also gonna turn him into a murderer when he confronted the undercover cop.

It's good to see that everyone survived the hatch explosion (implosion?), but Locke had to save Eko from the bear. No Kate or the other 2 main characters for the entire episode.

The episode was not all that good, but it did set up the 'Desmond can read the future' mystery. Let's see what happens next week.

Only 3 more episodes until the break. I predict a mind blowing event in the last 10-20 minutes of episode 6. Which will not be answered until the end of season 3.

5. Do your objective.

Don't be a wimp. If the time is running out go get the hostages, or plant the bomb. Also if your team has made it into the hostage area be sure to get the hostages. It gets you money and an easier win.

4. Keep your teammates alive.

Don't be afraid of 'stealing a kill.' So always shoot when an enemy is in sight. One more teammate alive could earn you the win.

3. Camp actively.

If your mission is to defend the hostages or bomb site. Don't sit in the corner waiting for them to come in. Find a position where you can shoot them before they get a lock on your position.

2. Get a Mic.

Communicating with teammates is one of the best contributions you can make to a team. Notify them when you see an enemy or if they are in danger.

1. Use the map.

Checking which route is guarded/breached is the most important way of staying alive. Getting shot in the back is the worst way to die.

Need For Speed Carbon The racing in the demo is pretty much identical to Most Wanted which is a love/hate game. You either like arcade racing or not. This year sports an all new drifting event. Just note that new does not always equal good.

Here are the specifics. You have a car. You have a track. You get points by duration and speed of drifting. Sounds ok.

Here's the catch. The car now controls like the track is covered in oil. So the car by default drifts around corners, with no need to get the tail out, because it automatically swings out by turning the steering. I'm not a big fan of drifting in games but this is just plain bad. Knowing EA this is the game we will get.

Me = still waiting for Forza 2/Gran Turismo.

Wow, this episode was a big improvement from last week. I've always thought that Sun was pregnant with the English teacher's kid, and this seemed to be confirmed (but you can never really know until a DNA test. Maury Povich?). Freckles with the pickax was probably her best scene in the show. I wonder what they are building, and who are the other captives.

We did get another meeting with Danielle's cutie daughter Alex. She continues to help the Losties and the guy (Karl) who tried to aid Sawyer last week was not a decoy put there by the Others. We still don't know who the bigger 'Other' is who seems to have a mask on.

Jack had a very small part in this episode but at the end we seem to get the idea that the Others wants his help. Maybe they need the help of a doctor?

The previews showed Locke, Eko and Desmond are still alive, with Eko tied up by someone.

Forza 1 Since Forza 2 was delayed until next year I've been playing the next best thing on the 360, the backward compatibly (BC) Forza 1.  Take note that this game still has some BC issues on the 360 which can affect enjoyment. The two that really stuck out for me were framerate and sound issues. On some tracks the framerate can take a dive, and this seems to be worst using the in-car views while cars are in your rear view mirror. The second problem is with the engine sounds. Sometimes your car engine will go silent, which happens every now and again but could be disruptive if you were using manual transmission.

The gameplay is pretty good. The cars handle realistically but I'm unable to compare it directly to Gran Turismo since I haven't played those in ages. Graphics hold up fairly well, but you miss out on that extra detail that the next generation brings. Again, the framerate is nowhere near Project Gotham solid. Unlike GT there are exotics from Ferrari and Porsche which is a good addition, but more customizability on them would've been nice.

There are some 'underground' style tracks that I do not like. This are usually set in the night driving through real streets with trailers and other objects sometimes taking over some of the track. I hope they leave these out of the sequel, these should be kept in Project Gotham.

Sadly, this is the only deep racing game to hold us over until Q1 2007 when Forza 2 is scheduled to be released. We want next gen!

Wow! I read a review beforehand and one of the first things they said was that the first 5 minutes was amazing. Well, the first 5 minutes were amazing. I can't remember being into a show as much, and this is the third season. 'Freckles' (Evangeline Lilly) was looking pretty good too. You seem to have learnt more about the 'Others' in that first 5 mins than you did in the past 2 seasons. The problem is the writers seem to keep that extra information away, which is where the addiction comes in. You want to learn more. We still haven't seen what happened back at the camp since the hatch exploded. Maybe next week...

Physics demos in general have always impressed me. And this one is no exception.

Woot. Lost season 3 starts on Wednesday. I bought the Lost 2 DVDs and am now fully caught up. This is the first time I will be watching the series as it is broadcasted on TV. So many unanswered questions.
  • What happened to Michael and Walt?
  • What made Locke able to walk?
  • Who are the 'Others'?
  • Why did they want Kate, Jack, Sawyer and Hurley?
  • What do the numbers represent?
  • What is the cloud creature?
  • What did they do to Claire while she was captured?
  • Did someone detect the island/ship?
  • Is Locke, Eko and Desmond alive?
Cool Lost site.

Do not watch.
