With my Netflix subscription, I have not been drawn to the movie theater in over a year, maybe two. I think my last time was The Dark Knight. I had only got a tiny taste of 3D at the Universal Studios Terminator 3D ride and the word on the street was that this was much more subtle.

Knowing almost nothing about the story (except the criticism that is was copied from movies X, Y, and Z) I was pleasantly surprised how much into it I was. Neytiri, the main female 'alien' was an incredibly strong and likable character that, by the end of this 260 minute masterpiece was difficult not to develop some kind of emotional attachment.

Technically the visuals were groundbreaking. I had problems with blurring for the first five to ten minutes but by the end of the film I had forgotten I was watching a movie. Pandora is a work of art, kudos to the artists. I do wonder if a sci-fi will ever have characters that are not some mutation from humans. I hope it translates well onto Blu-ray because I already gave it five stars and added it to my queue.

Go see this movie! NAO!
