Something Missing This Year
Anticipation in the gaming community used to be at their highest at this time of the year. Big things happened within the span of only one week, but I enjoyed just the first 2 days, the last three is too much of an information flood. The famous E3 has quietly disappeared. E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo, where game companies display their upcoming projects, many for the first time.

The first 2 days were my most enjoyable. Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony all held press conferences unveiling their projects to all the fans (and fanboys) causing many to fill their diapers and destroy their keyboards with saliva. The annual Miyamoto speech always met expectations (except for the 'Gamecube to GameBoy Advance link' year). This was also the first place to see unreleased systems and a good place to decide where to invest your money, and I'm not talking about stock, but what system to buy.

In 4 years when it is time for the big three to give birth again, will there be an event big enough to contain the delivery? Only time will tell.
